What is Mobile Television?
Mobile Television Service will allow Digicel postpaid and prepaid subscribers to watch television on their handsets over the GPRS network.
Who is Mobile TV for?
The Mobile Television Service is available to all Digicel subscribers who have access to GPRS and have a handset with a Symbian Operating System.
How much does it cost?
You must pay a service charge to access the Mobile Television service. Currently the service is JMD20.00 per minute.
How can I get Mobile TV?
You need to have one of the handsets that are compatible with the Mobile TV service (see below) If the handset is purchased from Digicel it should come with the appropriate GPRS settings. If GPRS settings are not attached to the customers SIM and or phone, you will need to call Customer Care and ask for the GPRS activation process.
Mobile TV: Setup & next steps
- When set up, just select the Mobile TV link on the Digicel Live Portal.
- When the link is selected a download dialog will open. When the download is complete you will be asked to accept the content. Select "Yes" to accept.
- You will receive the following notification 'Security Information: The identity of the software supplier cannot be guaranteed. Do you want to proceed?' Select "Yes" to proceed.
- After proceeding, you will be prompted to install the Digicel TV client. Select "Install" to begin the installation process.
- Choose where the installation should be stored and select "Continue". When the installation is complete select "Done".
- After downloading and installing the DigicelTV client, you can click on the DigicelTV option in your applications menu to start watching TV.
