14 Hopeful High Schools Island-wide
Kingston, Jamaica – Monday, January 14, 2008: Love is in the air, or at least in the stars. Digicel launched its ALL-STAR Rising Stars Valentines concert competition on January 10, giving 14 High Schools, one from each parish, a chance to win the ultimate free Valentine’s Day concert.
97 High schools from across the island entered the competition in hopes of winning the concert, and through a raffle, one school was chosen to represent each parish. Paula Pinnock McLeod, series Executive Producer comments “High school students are avid Rising Stars fans. They supported the show right throughout he series and in fact 2 of this years Rising Stars were High School students themselves”. The public can show their support for their favourite High School by texting 444-2418 with the corresponding number. The school that gets the most votes between January 11 and February 9 will be the grand prizewinner.
